Hey guys, Matt here with Crypto Blick once again hope your day is going well today. Like I said, I’m going to do a quick tutorial for you and show you how to buy crypto on the Cash App. So jumping right on my phone…
Alright so here’s the opening screen when we pull up the app. You’re going to go to that little icon there for Stocks and Bitcoin, obviously. Come over here to Bitcoin you’re going to select “Buy Now.” You can select a dollar all the way to $100, or click the three dots and put in your own amount.
I’m just going to put in $10 for this tutorial.
Next, it scans my face to FaceID to verify and you are going to see here your bank account that it’s transacting from. Then you’re going to have the amount of BTC and the exchange rate. Alright so out of that $10, here’s the fee. So like I said before in other videos, the Cash App does a 1.8% Taker Fee for buying Bitcoin from them, so keep that in mind. This is super easy to buy Bitcoin this way, but if you want a lower fee, it’s going to take a little more time to get verified and it’s going to take a little more time to dig in and buy the BTC on exchanges like Coinbase or Kraken. Kraken right now has Taker Fees 0.26% instead of 1.8% like the Cash App does. I’m doing this for educational purposes to show you how to buy crypto.
You’re then going to click “Confirm.”
Give it some time… there we go… you purchased that amount of BTC. You can see the price of Bitcoin in a nice little graph right there. I can buy and sell. So like I did on the Robinhood App, I’m going to sell this.
Let’s do “All,” which is actually very convenient compared to Robinhood.
It lets me know my fee is $0.30… so you can see how my money is drastically going down with that high percentage for a fee.
Now I have no more crypto in my account, but now I have like $9 and thirty-something cent out of the $10 that I did just use. Obviously, when you buy crypto you’re not going to sell that quickly unless it skyrockets and it’s a great time to buy out. You would hold on to it.
So that’s how you buy and sell crypto on the Cash App.
I’ll do another video on how you can pull your crypto off of the Cash App and save it on a Hardware wallet or Mobile wallet like the BRD wallet that I’ve already done a video on.
If you have any questions feel free to comment. I’ll do my best to respond to everything that I see come in. Excited to have you guys here on this journey. If there are any videos in particular that you would like to see, let me know and I will do my best to do a quick tutorial video or give my opinion or bring someone on who is a professional in that industry. If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment, I’d be more than happy to do my best to provide the best information for you as much as possible.
Stay safe out there, stay warm, and stay healthy. Until next time, hang tight.
